Bullying

Bullying is when people torment other people. There are two types of bullying: physical, like when you beat someone up; and emotional, that’s like telling someone nobody likes him or saying other mean stuff. A person who is a bully is a very mean person who can’t express his anger in any other way than by being horrid to other people. A bully is also unhappy in a way because imagine: if it was your birthday and you got lots of presents and a good grade at school would you like to hit someone? I don’t think so. So what if you got told off at school and then your sister got a treat and came to your room to show off? What would you do then? Tell her she’s stupid, probably. People who are bullied are often treated that way because of something like the fact that their clothes aren’t cool and expensive, or they aren’t as rich as the bullies, even if they’re top in class and teacher’s pets. What about the friends of the bullied ones, you’ll ask? Well, they might stick up for them but that won’t help much. Most of them will be just scared that if they defend their friends they’ll start getting bullied, too. So bullied people are helpless and unable to manage things on their own. My advice for such people would be to tell your teacher or parents. You might be scared that after that the bullying will be worse but your teacher could have a talk with them and tell their parents to have a talk with them, too. If someone is being bullied online I have the same advice or stop using that particular website.

Marta's story

Once upon a time there was a king called Beetroot. He was the king of a country without a name. One day he went to his own personal fair and gave all his rings to a fortune teller who later became famous for juggling those same rings, but that doesn’t matter. When he was in her tent he asked:

“Will I meet a pretty lady who will advertise my castle?” The fortune teller was mute so she passed him a piece of paper. This is what was on it:

Yes and no. You will meet a pretty lady and you will marry her. Three days after that a death threat will arrive in your mail. Happy now?

The king went back to his castle and the very next year he met a pretty lady and married her. Three days later he remembered about the fortune teller and began to panic.

“Stop the postman getting out of the post office!” cried the king. The guards ran to the post office but the postman had already gone out.

“Pull up the drawbridge and let in the sharks,” the king cried again. But the guards had forgotten to feed the sharks so they were all dead. The drawbridge had rusty hinges so it couldn’t close either. The postman had no trouble at all delivering the mail. The king’s wife was just ruffling through it.

“Invitation to a ball, late happy Halloween, even later happy Easter, death threat and a few bills.”

“Death threat? Whose death threat? Mine?” asked the king, white as paper.

“No, of course not. It’s my death threat. I’ve had millions of boyfriends and all of them are angry that I dumped them. The postman is just one of them.”

The king was surprised, to put it mildly, but later that day he went and asked the fortune teller why she hadn’t told him that the death threat was for his wife.

“I was afraid you would take the rings away if I said the truth,” she answered. So everyone lived happily ever after.

Matt's opinion regarding racism

       Racism!

Racism still exists today. Here are a couple of examples of racism in the USA:

1.Black peoples names are less likely to be called for jobs.

2.They have to pay more for things  like cars.

3.Black clients are shown  17.7% fewer houses for sale than white.

4.Black people are 4 times likely to go to jail.

5.Doctors don’t inform some Black people about their sickness.

6.Some Afro-americans get  beaten up in the streets.

Ian on racism!

Racism – It is war against each other in terrible ways. It is awful

Examples:

·       When looking for a job if you are black there is 50% less chance they will call you back.

·       Black people pay more to get something then white.

·       Black people get caught for driving while black.

·       White people won’t sell a house that is in a neighborhood, but to a white person they will

·       Black people are more likely arrested then white people.

·       Doctors won’t tell black people if you are sick even if you are, but they will tell a white.

If you see a black person being picked on or being beaten the right thing to do is to help him. Don’t be racist if you know that no matter what skin you have you are the same.

Story:

My dad has a friend that is black. Well they were taking the metro. Then suddenly someone pushed my dad’s friend and ran away. How can you attack someone if you don’t know him. Well that is racism.

STOP RACISM! BE SMART!

Peter's thoughts on racism!

Racism is the most horrible thing in the world.  Black people should be treated the same as white people!

-Black people have to pay twice as much as white people for some things.

-Black people are twice more likely to be pulled over by cops than white people.

-Black people are shown 17.7% fewer houses for sale.

-Black people are 4 times more often to be arrested .

- Doctors don’t tell black people that they are sick .

RACISM HAS TO STOP!

No matter what skin you have,  you’re the same person!

STOP RACISM!
